English: Berlin Wall Tour

After the German surrender in 1945, Berlin became a divided city. The result of this development was the East German decision to build Berlin Wall. You will learn about the different societies in East and West, about the hard life in a divided city and about destinies of East German people who tried to escape to the Western part of Berlin. We will visit important places of the cold war, e.g. the Allied checkpoint charlie, the Federal Ministery of Finance which hosted the former East German government, Pariser Platz in Front of Brandenburg gate, a memorial for victims of Berlin Wall and the last remaining parts of the Wall in the city center of Berlin.
